Caring for Hartlepool’s pets since 1950
We first opened in Hartlepool in 1950 and have expanded over the years to cover Billingham, Horden and Sedgefield, taking our name, Clifton Lodge, from the building of our original premises.
In that time, we’ve had plenty of practice caring for our clients and pets in our community, and our longstanding teams, many of whom have been with us for three decades and more, have seen generations of pets and families come through our doors.

Our branches
We’re especially proud of our facilities, with our modern Hartlepool branch holding a CT scanner, an intensive care unit, a dedicated ward for small and exotic pets, large cat kennels, walk-in kennels, operating theatres and more.
You can also book routine, diagnostic and surgical appointments at our supporting branches in Billingham and Horden, while our Sedgefield site offers convenient consultations, with the option to be transferred to any of our other sites if necessary.

Our diverse, friendly team has been selected with our clients in mind, with veterinary professionals from the UK, South Africa, Australia, Poland, Bulgaria and Spain all providing different skills and knowledge to help us provide the very best service.
